The beautiful  Anjaneyaswamy temple is located on the hilltop. Apart from being peaceful and holy, the temple has a good ambience for a peaceful and devotion filled experience.  The location is extremely beautiful. This temple is dedicated to lord Anjaneyaa/Hanuman. A very well prominent location and most visited by the tourists. It provides a  nice view from the top of the hillock. Temple is in a  very peaceful area with a pleasant breeze and well-maintained place. One of the most popular and well-known temples in Bangalore though located on the road, the temple is spacious and has surroundings with lush greenery and beautiful structures. The main temple of Sri Prasanna Anjaneya Swamy is located on a hillock and one has to climb nearly 87 steps. Lift facility is available for old and disabled people. At the foot of the hillock, there is a temple with three separate shrines for Navagrahas, Maha Ganapati and Raja Rajeshwari.  Beautiful architecture, peaceful place and an iconic place of worship, it is a must visit for everyone. The place is full of peace and harmony and a perfect escape from the daily hustle bustle of life. A trip to Banglore is incomplete without the visit to this temple to experience the calm and peacefulness of the soul.

How to reach

It is 8 Km. from the city center. One can hire a taxi, take a bus, or own personal vehicle.

Bus number 201, 600-CA, 600-F, V 500 CK, 500, 500 AD, 201, 201-G can be taken from MG Road. The buses are available every 15 minutes. The ticket would cost around Rs. 50 for this distance.

  • The community hall is there, which can accommodate 100 members
  • Parking is available behind the temple
  • Lift is available for those who cannot climb the temple stairs 
  • Travel by hired cab to avoid the parking hassle
  • During Hanumantha Jayanthi they provide lunch daily for around 15 days
  •  We can offer rice to Annapoorneswari devi available inside the temple at a cost of Rs.5.00 per glass
  • Wear respectful clothes as it is a religious place
  • Avoid noisy and unruly behaviour and maintain the serene atmosphere of the temple
