The Tbilisi zoo is situated next to the Vere river. The establishment of the Tbilisi zoo dates back to 1927. However, it has seen many ups and downs since then. The latest being the flood in the year 2015 when a large number of animals were killed. After the renovation, the zoo is gradually getting back to normal. The creatures in the zoo have been categorized under predators and primitive rodents and birds. In addition, there is also an Exotarium as a home for fishes, amphibians, and reptiles. The zoo provides an excellent platform for increasing children's awareness and sensitivity by allowing them to feed certain kinds of animals and watch their activities closely. Parents, too, get plenty of memorable moments to capture on their cameras! Similarly, the zoo also allows a visitor to put a snake around his/her neck and get photographed. There is also a fun zone where game booths and various types of rides like a Ferris wheel, pirate boat are available. Refreshments can be bought from a restaurant. An adorable place for kids!
