About Mtatsminda Park

The Mtatsminda park is situated on Mount Mtatsminda hill. It is an amusement park that caters to all age groups. Its attractions include different kinds of rides, a water park, a food park, and exhibition centers. The park houses a newly opened Fauna Land where one can find pigs, goats, horses, donkeys, peacocks, turkeys, chickens, beautiful rabbits, ostrich, eagles, and wild cats. In the children zone, there is a water boat zone for 3 to 10 years old children. Small children can enjoy floating independently. Various festivals like a wine festival, cheese festival, laughter festival, ice-cream festival, water festival, etc. are organized in the park. The various kinds of rides are divided into three sections i.e kids zone, families and the extreme. Depending upon the appetite of the traveler he or she can choose the rides. There is a giant wheel known as the “Club Underwheel” at the highest point. Easily one can have an overwhelming view of the city while having this ride. The park also houses a wedding hall, a birthday center, shops, food places and an entertainment center popular for its Mirror Labyrinth, Wax Figures, Butterfly exhibition, and Jurassic Park. In nutshell, there is something or the other for all the age groups in the park.

How to reach

Walk from the city center - Time is taken 1 hr 16 min, 4.9 KM

Taxi from the city center to Mtatsminda park - 26 Minutes, 10.5 KM, fare 5-7 GEL

Metro from Station Square to Liberty Square, from there one has to catch a bus for Sulkhan Saba street  and from there walk down to the park - 50 minutes, 1 GEL

2 municipal transport moves to Mtatsminda Park: # 124 Bus from Rustaveli Avenue Bus and # 90 from Orbeliani Square.

Tips

  • Use funicular at the lower station of the park to go up to the top of the park
  • Wear appropriate/sports shoes so that all the places and rides can be enjoyed comfortably. 
  • Watch out for any particular event in the park while in Tbilisi. 
  • The park has various zones for all the age groups. Locate them on the park map.
  • Restaurants in the park remain open after 9:00 p.m. but get closed by 11:00 p.m. The funicular services close by 11:30 p.m.
  • Souvenir shops are present close to the funicular station.
  • In the park, there is a "birthday center" where a child's birthday can be celebrated. Various cost packages are available.
