About Manial Palace

The Construction of Manial Palace had started in1875. The architectural style of this beautiful palace is art nouveau. It was built by Prince Mohamed Ali (1875-1955), between 1901 and 1929. The palace boasts a rich collection of manuscripts, carpets, textiles, brass work and crystal. It is located on a small island (Rhoda).  The Clock Tower stands inside the palace and attracts many visitors throughout the year.

How to reach

The cheapest way to get from Cairo to Manial Palace and Museum is to take the  metro. Every 5 minutes there is a direct train departing from Martyrs and arriving at El-Malek El-Saleh. The quickest way to get from Cairo to Manila Palace and Museum is to take a  taxi.   

Tips

  • There are gardens that have beautiful plants and flowers that are worth seeing.
  • Be prepared to see stuffed animals.
  • Do not forget to notice Turkish and Spanish designs.
  • Always carry an ample amount of water so that you can stay hydrated during your tour.
  • Make sure to carry sunscreen if it's sunny outside.
