Construction of the Cairo Tower started in 1956 and it was inaugurated in 1961. More than 500 Egyptian workers were involved in the construction. It was designed by the Egyptian Engineer Na'oum Shoaib. The tower was built out of concrete and iron. The height of the tower is 187 m and has been the tallest structure in Egypt for about 50 years. Cairo tower has 90 floors. The building was aimed to emulate a lotus plant and an elevator is arranged to take the visitors to enjoy the view. A trip to Cairo would be incomplete without visiting the magnificent tower that offers splendid sunset views and a panoramic view of the city. There is no surprise that visitors come back for both day and night experiences. The spot also offers dining options to complement the perfect setting.
Observatory view, night view watching colors and lights is a must-see.
