This park has 30 hectares (74 acres) of land. It was donated by Aga Khan to the citizens of Cairo. It is regarded as one of the world's sixty renowned green public spaces by the Project for Public Spaces. The park also houses the newly discovered Ayyubid Wall, constructed by Salah El Din more than 800 years ago. The park offers panoramic views of the historic city of Cairo. It is a peaceful escape from the otherwise crowded places of the city.
