About Aisha Fahmy Palace

The Aisha Fahmy palace was constructed in 1907 by Khedive Abbas Helmy. It was built by the Nile River in Zamalek. The Italian architect was Antonio Lashak. It was home to Princess Aisha, the daughter of Ali Basha Fahmy, the head of the army during King Fouad’s reign. Its total area covers over 2,700 square meters and houses 30 rooms, which include two large halls, a basement, and a roof.  It was closed for a long period for renovations and re-opened as an arts center in mid-2017.
