Located at the foot of Shilin Mountain to the northwest of Zhuhai City, The New Yuanming Palace is really a replica of the original Summer Palace of Beijing. Built and opened to the public in 1997, it is spread across an area of 353.4 acres. It replicates 18 scenic spots of the Old Summer Palace, just as they are. Although the total area is just 1/6 of the original Old Summer Palace, this historical garden attracts millions of visitors every year. In the year 2,000 this palace was evaluated as the National AAAA Tourist Area.
Distance from city center: 5.8 Kms. Take Bus Route No.1, 13, 25, 40, 60, 62, 69, 992, etc. and then get off at Zhuhai New Summer Palace.
