About Sadarghat

Sadarghat is a river port in the center of the city. Visitors can hire small boats here to move across the Buriganga River. This and the port's central location combine to give an unencumbered, unparalleled panoramic view of Dhaka. It is also a thriving community market with fish and vegetables on sale.

Take a rickshaw (cycle or auto) through DIT Ave and Nawabpur Road to get to Sadarghat.

  • Sadarghat River Station is busy during early mornings and evenings.
