About Hatirjheel

Hatirjheel is a sightseeing pride of Dhaka. It constitutes three bridges which appear magnificent during the night. It is a lakefront which has been transformed as a medium for transport to move around the city reducing traffic congestion. It was constructed under the supervision of the Bangladesh army and Special Works Organization. Dhaka citizens enjoy the picturesque view of the city and relax from the hustle and bustle of their lives rendering the place a recreational spot. Hatirjheel provides a breath of fresh air for the city dwellers, making it a congenial area for bus and water taxi services accessible by the people of the city. Enjoy the lights of the bridges during the night as well as the reflection of the moonlight in the waters of the lake. The place is full of shrubs and trees. A prominent place for recreational purpose, it has restaurants and an amphitheater with a capacity to accommodate 2,000 people. The musical fountain embodied in Hatirjheel is a 3-dimensional structure with sound waves and musical tracks.

How to reach

The visitors can hire a cycle-rickshaw or auto-rickshaw to reach the place as it is 6.6 km via Moghbazar Road.79.2 Tk by auto-rickshaw and 60 Tk by cycle-rickshaw. It will take 25 minutes to reach the place.
