To witness the intricacies of art, craftsmanship and creative techniques, the Museum of Contemporary Arts is a must see. Established in 1979, The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) is filled with pieces by well known modern artists as well as lesser known contemporary artists. Encompassing a nice variety, the museum’s permanent collection holds 6,800 pieces of work including fields such as minimalism, abstract expressionism, and postmodernism. Capturing three locations in the city of California: the MOCA Grand Avenue, MOCA PDC, and MOCA, the places exhibit American and European contemporary art created after 1940. If you need a break, a small café in the museum's courtyard offers an assortment of food with seating in the courtyard. Exhibiting a wide range of marvelous art, the MOCA stands apart from others because of its unusual and interesting collection.
