Formerly known as Nai Yang National Park, the Sirinat National Park is situated on the northwestern coast of Phuket Island with the pine-fringed beach, Nai Thon at the southern corner and Nai Yang near the Phuket International Airport. Its Mai Khao Beach is home to nesting turtles, including leatherbacks and hawksbills as well as mole crab. Tropical coral reefs cluster in the waters offshore and mangrove forests shelter birds such as kingfishers past Sai Kaew Beach in the north.
The bus journey takes about 45 minutes and is the cheapest mode of travel. On the other hand, taking a taxi might be expensive but saves some time.
