One of the best museums in Muscat. It offers a fascinating look into the past and the present. it’s a great place to know more about the Omani traditions during the old days. It showcases the Omani lifestyle between 1950 to 1975. One can relate to many of the artifacts which were there in many of the older homes. A very interesting and unique little museum that gives a great insight into Omani daily life and culture. Set in a beautifully traditional building, you weave through different rooms which all have different artifacts/vintage furniture and information about Omani life. From its bride's bedroom to its kitchen utensils via the old man winter room majlis, this place is a quaint little gem and well worth a visit.
