Malaga´s Cathedral originally named La Manquita was never completed. It was built near the Almohad mosque, however, originally the plan was to build two towers which were Baroque-style cathedrals but unfortunately due to insufficient funds in Granada only one was actually finished.
The exquisite architecture, the interiors, choir stalls, with their multiple carvings were all especially taken care of by Pedro de Mena, then the Granadino sculptor and the architect who designed the façade of Granada’s Cathedral has really justified their work. The real beauty of this cathedral is to reach the rooftop, in spite of a lot of steps, it's worth it as you get panoramic views of Malaga city.
