Basilica of Santa Maria de la Victoria is one of the must-sees whenever you visit Malaga. Although from outside it may not appeal that much, once you enter this place your entire view of this church will change. It is the most beautiful Baroque churches in Andalusia. The architecture designs inside the church are filled with plaster decoration painted with gold accents.
There are two chapels which come off the center. Apart from the designs inside what's remarkable is its rare paintings and sculptures which are noteworthy - Virgin of the Sorrows and the ‘Dolorosa’ by Pedro de Mena. You will also find a small museum in the basement of the church’s tower. The pantheon of this church is one of its kind and is considered very unique in Spain. And last but not least, the prime objective of visiting this church is to enter the crypt and the Heavenly Tower. There's a lot of history in this church which makes it a must-visit whenever you're in Malaga.
