About Casa Batllo

This is definitely one of the greatest must-see masterpieces of Antoni Gaudi, considered as the father of Spanish Modernism, whose iconic works are scattered all over the city. It is located right in the very heart of Barcelona and is very easy to identify. It has colorful mosaic, broken ceramic designs, and flowing structure devoid of any straight lines. Its oval windows are irregularly shaped, while the amazing turret with a cross is another attractive feature. This marvelous house continues to stand tall amongst all of the other structures in the city because of its unique shape and design, both inside and outside.

Get mesmerized by an aquatic experience in the cathedral. Watch for the elements of the wavy facade which creates a beautiful and alluring effect, especially early in the mornings and late evenings. It is simply very lovely to behold both by day and by night. Gaudi was a visionary who sought beauty in balance with nature. Notice the conservatism in the creative diffusion of light, an efficient ventilation system. Gaudi's love for nature is manifested in the wooden railings, mysterious balconies whose evocative shapes are interpreted as skulls, and masks. Casa Batllo appears as a living organism and there is life wherever you look. This UNESCO World Heritage site is a legend of architecture and design.
