About Camp Nou

Camp Nou is the home stadium of FC Barcelona and has been since it was built in 1957. It is the largest stadium in Europe and can hold more than 120,000 spectators. In1989 and 1999 Camp Nou hosted the European Cup Finals. In 1982 it hosted the opening game of FIFA World Cup of Soccer, as well as other games of the tournaments. It was also the soccer venue for the 1992 Barcelona Summer Olympics. Made mainly for soccer, it is also a venue for events and concerts.1982 saw Pope John Paul III said mass at this stadium. Over the years, a number of artists have performed here. including Julio Iglesias, Bruce Springsteen, U2, The Three Tenors, and Michael Jackson.
