Summer Garden was originally intended as a garden outside of Peter’s palace for entertainment and recreation.Today it is a public park with beautiful green landscapes lined with 79 sculptures by well known 17th and 18th century artists. The park is dense with trees and has several points of interest ike the Grotto Pavilion, a carp pond and a coffee house. There is a famous ornate iron-cast fence built in1771 where the park reaches the Neva River. Laid out according to strict geometrical principles , the Summer Garden is one beautiful destination for everyone who loves nature and scenery.
