About Nevsky Prospect

This famous Russian street Nevsky Prospekt cuts through the centre of St. Petersburg. It functions as the main thoroughfare in the city and is a major hub for shopping, nightlife and entertainment. Lined with historic and picturesque architecture, this is the heart and soul of the city. The stunning 2.5 miles avenue is adorned with beautiful buildings, churches, palaces and astounding bridges. This street was initially just a way to connect the city to Novgorod, but it has transformed into a stunning tourist spot demanding at least a day of your time.

Art Nouveau, Singer Building, Stroganov Palace, Kazan Cathedral, Horse Tamers statues on Anichkov Bridge and Gostiny Dvor.

Walking route: From Ploshchad Vosstaniya Metro Station to the Admiralty (2.9km).
