The gorgeous Ca' Rezzonico is an ode to luxury. The construction of the palace was begun in the 17the century but was only completed in 1756 after its ownership changed hands.
The palace oozes sophistication in every room and floor. Its marvellous collection of 18th-century paintings, porcelain, and furniture provides a window into the lives of rich Venetian families.
Before it turned into a museum, the palace, stripped of all its furnishings, was rented out as well. Among its notable tenants were the English poet Robert Browning, who spent the summers of 1887 and 1888 here and died in the palace in 1889, and the composer Cole Porter.
A stunning collection of Venetian 18th century art, Porcelain and Furniture.
