The Gallerie dell'Accademia provides another opportunity for art lovers to soak in some more great art, this time exquisite masterpieces from the 15th-18th century.
If you are willing to walk through corridor after corridor, ignore minor irritations that might ambush you, rest assured you will be in for a treat.
Titian ('Presentation of the Virgin'), Bellini (Procession in St Mark's Square), Carpaccio (Ten Thousand Martyrs of Mount Ararat), Giorgione (La Tempesta), Tintoretto (Cain and Abel) and scores of other masterpieces adorn the walls of this historic building.

A stunning collection of 15th and 16th-century paintings: St. George by Andrea Mantegna, St Jerome and a Donor by Piero della Francesca, Madonna and Saints by Giovanni Bellini, Pietà by Titian, Tintoretto's Cain and Abel.
