About Muslim Quarter

This is one of the four quarters of the old city of Jerusalem. It stretches for a total area of 31 hectares in the northeastern sector of the old city. This is quite a populated and one of the largest quarters amongst the rest and extends from the Lion’s Gate in the east to the Damascus Gate or Western Wall route in the west. Nearly 22,000 Muslims live here. The Via Dolorosa or the professional route of the old Jerusalem starts in this quarter.

How to reach

Take Egged Bus 8, 38 to reach the Jaffa Gate bus stop. Walk for 15 minutes to reach the Muslim Quarter.
The Tourist Bus 99 also stops at the Jaffa Gate bus stop. Walk for 15 minutes to reach the Muslim Quarter.
Take a Taxi to reach the Muslim Quarter.
