Inaugurated in 2000, the London Eye is London's modern icon. Towering 135 meters above ground, it is the tallest cantilevered observation wheel in Europe and the most visited paid-for tourist attraction in the UK, with over 3.75 million people visiting this engineering marvel annually.
Each rotation takes 30 minutes and the view of London, to say the least, is stunning. Crowds can become a problem during weekends and school vacations, given how popular the Eye is, so it's always best to book early.
