About Buckingham Palace

Home to the British monarch, Buckingham Palace is another iconic landmark of London. The palace was initially known as Buckingham House. It was subsequently enlarged several times in the 19th century and officially became the home of the British monarch in 1837. The palace has a mind-boggling 775 rooms and the garden is said to be the largest private garden in entire London. The elegant building, which is often at the center of national celebrations, is hugely popular with tourists wanting to take a peek into the royal life and feel like royalty.
