About Place des Arts

At Place des Arts you can hear music from every corner of the place, like the traditional music festival of Les Francos de Montréal. A visit to this place will expose you to works by Quebec artists such as Paul-Emile Borduas, Betty Goodwin and Guido Molinari, as well as other Canadian artists such as Paterson Ewen, Jack Bush, Michael Snow and Jeff Wall. International artists represented in the Musee d’Art Contemporain include Shirin Neshat, Bruce Nauman, Richard Serra, and Isaac Julien. This versatile museum recognizes the diversity of disciples in this genre and quite enthusiastically highlights sculpture, drawing, video, and installation. Be sure to treat yourself by watching artists paint murals on building facades (including for the first time at the Museum of Jewish Montréal), take an art tour, dance to live music, and eat well at the Grill Saint-Laurent. The place is heaven with many amazing exhibits.
