About Montreal Botanical Garden

Montreal is famous for its Botanical Garden where you have a lot to explore and do. The main highlight of this place is the Chinese Garden which resembles the Shanghai city.  The Garden not only consists of a wide and rich collections of plants and trees but it also has a  beautiful collection of temples, pavilions, and courtyards which you will notice just around the little lake.Get yourself totally immersed in nature with the incredible  over 500 different varieties of flowers, trees, shrubs, and bamboos on the 2.5-acre grounds. It is a beautiful spot, there are always artists coming here to paint or draw the surroundings. You can start by visiting the Chinese Garden which can be your first stop in the Botanical Gardens. This place is amazing and huge, with themed gardens such as Japanese, Chinese, First Nations, etc. Each place has its unique, uncontested charm and personality. Next will be the Japanese Garden where you can see the lake, waterfalls, and streams. It’s a peaceful place built and planned in conjunction with the city of Hiroshima.

Tips

  • In order to avoid any inconvenience, you can always buy your tickets that combine the Biodome, Observation tower, and Botanical gardens/insectarium.
  • It totaled $75 for the two and the ticket is valid for 30 days. It takes about 4 hours each but people who are ambitious can even manage it all in one full day.
  • Just to mention here if you're visiting with kids, don't miss the ever-popular toxic plant garden. 
  • Keep a note: to book a tour that includes both the Botanical Gardens (and insectarium) as well as the Olympic Stadium Observation tower.
  • The children show is only in the French Language.
