Montreal is loosely translated to “Mount Royal”, so of course you can find a mountain and park by the same name in the middle of the city. The park is a 200 hectare of green space, home to both urban and animal wildlife all year long.
Spend a day visiting the hillside cemeteries or playgrounds. Watch or join in the locals jogging, bicycling, boating, skating, or skiing. Take your dog for a walk, pack a picnic, watch the birds, and get a dose of sunshine.
Whatever you do, you have to visit Smith House, to pick up trail maps and learn about the history and highlights of the park. Grab a bite to eat at the Chalet, and the Beaver Lake Pavilion.
Looking for a romantic getaway to spend some time together? Check out the awe-inspiring views of Montreal from the summit.
