Banteay Srei is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and made of red sandstone. It is also called the “Lady Temple,” due to its feminine and intricate designs. It is a wonderful piece of 10th-century architecture consisting of peaked structures of red sandstones. It is a sight to behold when the sunlight falls on these sandstones. It gives due justice to the visit to witness the amazing carvings in peace and serenity. The carvings depict stories of the Hindu deities and demons of the ancient era.
It is 35 km from the city center. One can hire taxis, motorbikes, bicycles, tuk-tuks or tour buses. Taxis can be hired for a full day at the cost of $ 30 for a full day for 2 people. Tuk-tuks can be hired for a full day at the cost of $13 to $16 and can accommodate 4 people. Motorbikes cost for a full day range $3 to $10 and are easily available in the city at all places.
