Banteay Samre Temple was built during the rule of Suryavarman II and Yasovarman in the early 12th century. It is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The temple has a stark resemblance to its neighboring temples of Banteay Srey and the grand Angkor Wat.
