The Corinthians Arena was inaugurated in 2014. The construction began to create a new home base for the Club Corinthians Paulista, which ended in time for the World Cup, 2014. The stadium hosted the opening ceremony, other group league and a semi-final match. During Rio Olympic in 2016, it again hosted a number of matches in the soccer tournament of the game. Post tournaments, it functions as the home base of the Corinthians club who organise social and corporate events too. The complex is in a 2,121,514.4 sq. ft property and has a 67,000 sq. ft facade in the west side along with LED video screens to the east side. It can house around 49,000 fans at a time. The tour to know the stadium, called "Casa do Povo," runs from Wednesday to Sunday, it covers the glorious past of the club and the stadium.
There is not very good connectivity by the road. The stadium can be reached by metro, as in the red metro line, the station Corinthians-Itaquera is right next to the arena. You can take a cab but it may take time owing to the traffic.
