About Ho Chi Minh Museum

Located in the Ho Chi Minh complex, the Ho Chi Minh museum is one of the most resourceful museums in Hanoi. It was built in honor of one of Vietnam's most revered historical figures, Ho Chi Minh. The museum is divided into eight sections, each representing a distinct period in Ho Chi Minh’s life. The museum covers details from his birth in the late 1800s to his death in 1969. It has a collection of thousands of artefacts, miniatures, and miscellaneous items gathered from all over the country and from around the world. The most thoughtful feature for tourists is the labeling of all the items in French and English. The museum is very much dedicated to maintaining Ho Chi Minh's legend and there's a lot to be learned here. IIt is a must see in if you are in Hanoi.

It is 5.6 km away from the city center.

The best way to reach there is by taxi or motorbike or you can go even by bus.

  • Take your time here. Don't rush as there is lots to see.
  • Buy tickets directly at Door 1 of Ho Chi Minh Museum. 
  • If you want translators to assist, there are people to help. Just tip them after to show your gratitude.
  • Do not touch the exhibits or make noise inside the building.
  • Food and beverages are not allowed.
  • Pets are not permitted inside.
  • This museum can be quite confusing for first-time visitors, so it is best to hire a guide to show you around.
  • Get a stroller if you are with kids, as it requires lots of walking.
  • Take as many photos as you want.
  • Try to arrive early to avoid the rush.
