About Navy Pier

How to reach

From Chicago:

By bus:

It is just 3 kilometres away from Chicago. Take bus line 29,2,65,66,124 (available every 15 minutes) to reach the destination in 20 minutes. It costs  $ 3 per person

By taxi:

You can also hire a taxi from Chicago which cost $ 15 to reach the destination in 5 minutes

Tips

  • Navy pier is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day 
  • Recommend visiting the pier in summer to enjoy the fireworks
  • Riverboat cruises scare prohibited in winter
  • Restaurants and shops are found near the Ferris wheel
  • To protect yourself from extreme heat, sunscreen and sunglasses are recommended
  • Grab some snacks and always have a filled water bottle while strolling
  • Online reservation is strongly appreciated for riverboat cruises since the tickets are sold out early
  • Children under age 6 are prohibited inside the maze
  • Alcohol is provided only to the adults in the beer garden
