Designed by Władysław Horodecki, the wonderful building of the National Art Museum in Kiev is truly a sight you would not want to miss when you are in this city. Housing and playing host to a huge collection of wide-ranging Ukrainian paintings that seem to be a testament to the eras gone by. Out of all the collections that have called this museum their home, the one that stands out the most is the collection of Ukrainian avant garde in nature. This collection has been in the museum from the early 20th century. The museum's wonderfully curated collections have now, more often than not, became the centre of attraction for tourists as well.
Can be reached by taking a train/tram from the Maidan Nezalezhnosti station and by getting down at Yevropeiska Square.
