Gyeongbokgung Palace also known as the Palace Greatly Blessed By Heaven is the biggest and most attractive one among the Five Grand Palaces built during the Joseon dynasty. This historical structure is also known as the Northern Palace because of its location. It houses more than 300 buildings as well as The National Folk Museum and The National Palace Museum. Its grand structure gives a feeling of life in Joseon-era Korea, re-enactments of royal rituals, and extensive displays of artifacts and period costumes. It was the main royal palace in South Korea between 1592 and 1598. The Palace is located to the north of the main building was built by King Gojong as his informal and private place for rest and leisure. The Palace is impressive both inside and outside.
Take Blue City Bus 109, 171, 172, 601, 606 to the Gyeongbokgung Palace bus stop. A single ride costs 1,300 KRW.
