Zaha Hadid is the winner of the 1984 Pritzker Prize. So is her creation - a neo-futuristic design that is distinct in its "powerful, curving forms of elongated structures", this is Seoul's pride, her heartthrob. Koreans love this architectural landmark, one of its kind both in concept and execution. Apart from it being a fashion hub with a rooftop park and futuristic retail stores, it also has ecological features such as double-skin facade, solar panels, and a recycling water system built into it. But all that will only fall into perspective once you are done being stunned by the design. Experience the future designed to win you over at first sight.
The distance from Seoul City Hall, the city center to Dongdaemun Design Plaza is 2.8 km and takes 16 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes depending on the subway line you choose.
