Medina, one of the great Islamic states, holds the Holy Quran Exhibition that explains and promotes the history and value of Islam’s holiest book “Quran.” The exhibition lies outside gate number 5 of Masjid Al Mawabi (The Prophet’s Mosque). The Samaya holding group and Islamic religious heads came into the corporation intending to introduce and educate the writings of the Quran according to a system of techniques in the museum exhibition style.
The exhibition displays the collection of nine original Qurans. The biggest attraction of this place is the hall where the most extensive Quran manuscript written by Afghan Ghulam Mohiuddin has been kept. The manuscript is 200 years old and weighs around 154 kilograms. The same hall has several other age ancient manuscripts that were collected from all over the world. One can also find a hundred-year-old Quran scripted on Gazelle’s skin with several original and replicas of the Islamic religion. It holds some excellent technological resources for interested learners.
A dedicated group guide in major languages is always available on request who can explain the details and importance of everything concisely in a limited time. Moreover, the exhibition halls have multiple language audio/video screens that are helpful and informative. The Holy Quran Exhibition continues towards the hall that presents a short documentary regarding Islam’s founder “Prophet” and the holy book. It follows towards a small souvenir shop that sells memorabilia and artifacts related to the exhibition. One can also find various kinds of “Itar” (perfume) and copies of Quran Shareef to shop for.
Prince Mohammed Bin Abdulaziz International Airport is the nearest airport to the Holy Quran exhibition (453 kilometers). Various trains, Buses, and taxis are available for traveling from the airport to the exhibition
