Unlike many churches that influence through the display, this 18th-century number is known for its elegant purity and fine balance of gold and wood. The tilted ceiling is polished mahogany, statues of saints, teak crosses and original stained-glass windows embellish the walls. It was extensively remodeled in 1988 for the 25th anniversary of having been raised to a cathedral. This church in Puerto Rico is both religiously and historically interesting. Originally, the church was built with wooden walls and a thatch roof. But due to many hurricanes, it faced a lot of damage. In spite of facing so many difficulties, it has retained its medieval feel. This is particularly evident in the tower of the cathedral. It is believed by many visitors that this church is San Juan's greatest religious site. There are many brightly colored figures in the cathedral of San Juan. One statue displays Mary impaled by four swords. Many items were looted from the cathedral, but visitors can still marvel at the stunning stained-glass windows.
The church is just 2 km away from the center.
