In the days of yore, Fes was considered to be the capital city of the Morroco and its direct evidence is Borj Nod, which is also a part of the ancient wall. This stood stoic as a protection for the inmates. It is an onsite museum of the historical arts showcasing swords, guns, cannons, jeweled daggers and decorated rifles and other weapons. The biggest weapon in the building is the 5-meter long canon that weighs 12 tons. If you climb up to the battlements you can get an aerial view of the surroundings and it served as a watchtower as also a panoramic view of the medina below. The arms were donated by the royal family members especially received from Asia, India, and Europe There are also several decorated rifles that were used by the King themselves in live combat.
