About Tokyo Imperial Palace

Get a feel of the regality and royal heritage of Japan! The sprawling three-kilometer campus of the Imperial Palace is at the heart of this old capital. With the resident royal family of Japan, the Tokyo Imperial Palace is a piece of living history in Japan. The Eastern gardens are free to visit and have flowers blooming at all times of the year. This was the original location of the Edo Castle but it was destroyed during World War II. It also has the Tokyo Budokan – one of the largest indoor event halls that regularly holds events and performances.  The Ninomaru Garden has a pleasing waterfall feature and will bring peace and calm to your mind. The Sannomaru Shozokan is a museum of art and sculpture from the imperial collection. If you happen to be in Japan in March, the Imperial Palace is one of the best places to get a view of cherry blossoms to the fullest. Get ready for a royal experience!
