The Rainbow Bridge is truly an impressive engineering marvel! It is a suspension bridge joining Odaiba to the mainland. The bridge is 798 meters long and was completed in 1993. This bridge is two-tiered - the upper tier carries an expressway while the lower tier holds an express train. There is a walkway provided on the lower level to enjoy a stroll along the bridge. The real magic of the bridge though starts after sundown. The lines holding the bridge up are fitted with lights, so when it's dark the bridge is cast in rainbow shades that make the bridge stand-out against the Tokyo skyline. This is where it gains its name from and is a treat to see after sundown!
