The place is called "Queen’s Necklace" and this is not some random name. To get the real feel of it you need to visit the drive during an evening to watch the streetlight create a pearl-like resemblance and these yellow lights along the curve make it look like jewelry. To enjoy a complete view of this necklace, you would really need to drive right up to Malabar Hill to watch the road and the sea, in a panoramic view. When you walk along the beach you will find many large inverted funnel-shaped concrete structures. People here usually prefer to sit on the structure to watch the beach have some street chat or take pictures. This place becomes very much active at night if you are looking to enjoy the real side of Mumbai nightlife, clubs, and jazz for night owls. You must visit Marine Drive as you will find numerous hotels and pubs in this region. If you are planning to stay in a hotel, choose rooms with a view of the sea for a breathtaking and panoramic look at the beautiful blue stretch of the Arabian Sea.
