Temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna and Goddess Radha and was built by the Birla family. It is made of white marble and has an amazing architecture, there are instances and shlokas from Bhagwad Geeta engraved on the walls of the temple. The temple has a serene atmosphere and is very well maintained. It also has Lord Shiva idols inside the premises. It presents a calm and peaceful environment where one can sit and meditate in absolute peace.
Metro stations close to the Birla Temple are Rabindra Sadan, Maidan Metro Station and Kalighat, you can take a taxi or rickshaw to the temple premises from here.
Basic taxi fare is Rs. 30 for up to first 2 km and after that the fare increases by Rs. 3 for every additional 2 km. The taxis are available at a regular frequency with 0 to 5 minutes wait time.
