About Parc Phoenix

Parc Phœnix is a 7-hectare (17-acre) botanical garden and zoo in Nice. The park was opened in February 1990 and is located at the southwestern edge of Nice, in the l'Arenas district, along the Promenade des Anglais. The park has an inner body of water. The park is mainly gardens and divided into several zones, such as a tropical zone, a Mediterranean garden, and areas reserved for animals.

This is a park very close to the airport in Nice. From the promenade de Anglais get the no 52 bus. It's great value for money. There is a little cafe and a great children's play area. There are birds, an aquarium, and some other animals including crocodiles and monkeys. The greenhouse is divided into seven zones in the park is one of the largest greenhouses in Europe. The park regularly hosts temporary expositions about nature.

  •  A lake, where a hundred birds - ducks, pelicans, black swans - live together in peace and in which are reflected the white marble façades of the Asian Arts Museum designed by the Japanese architect Kenzo Tange
  •  One of the largest greenhouses in Europe: the ‘Green Diamond’, that takes visitors through 6 different tropical climates to discover several thousand rare plant species, including tree ferns, an orchid collection... and many more plants
  • Caimans, iguanas, and free-flying exotic birds. A couple of Vari's lemurs are currently delighting visitors
  • Special assets: an enchanting original outstanding setting, easily accessible from the A8 motorway, across from the Nice-Côte d’Azur Airport, with free parking for the first 2 hours
  •  The possibility of private use of the park for one or more days (access to the park strictly reserved for organizers and their clients)  with many hotels nearby
