The Temppeliaukio church is one of the most popularly visited places in the city of Helsinki as close to half a million people visit each year. Situated in the heart of the city, the church blends like a dream into the temple square of Helsinki. The church has been carved out of a rock that in itself, is a miracle. A beautiful and peaceful place, where the copper dome looks exquisite and during the noon, while the church itself casts some amazing shadows on its walls. Thanks to its brilliant acoustics, the church serves as an amazing venue for holding concerts and likely events. The credit for such amazing acoustic experience goes to the brilliant rock surfaces that surround the interior of the church. Even the furnishings that adorn this church have been designed by amazing architects of the monument. Another interesting thing about the church is the fact that it does not house a church bell, rather the sound of bells, a recording that was composed by Taneli Kuusisto is played across the church.
