About Linnanmäki Amusement Park

Founded in 1950, the Linnanmäki Amusement Park is the most popular amusement park in Finland which attracts almost a million people all throughout the year. The park consists of a large selection of rides suitable to an audience of all ages. The must try is the wooden roller coaster without a doubt. If that was not enough, enjoy the arcade games that the park hosts. Live performances also take place at the outdoor stage built there. Apart from rides, the park also houses a historic theatre built in the year 1957, known as the Peacock-Teatteri. The theatre is essentially known for various music productions that it has hosted. If you are someone who is fascinated by aquatic life, then the Sea Life Center founded in the year 2002 is the ideal place.

How to reach

Arrive by tram and bus
Tram line 3 runs to the Linnanmäki Main Gate from the Helsinki railway station (get off at the Linnanmäki pohj./Borgbacken norra stop). You can also get close to the Main Gate on tram line 9 (alight at the Kotkankatu stop); tram lines 1 and 8 take you to the South Gate entrance (alight at the Linnanmäki etelä / Borgbacken södra).
The number 23 bus departs from platform 2 at the railway station (get off at the Linnanmäki pohj/Borgbacken norra stop). (2€ - 5€)

By Expressbus
Expressbus is an easy and inexpensive way to reach Linnanmäki. The EB busses from Lahti, Porvoo, Kotka, and Kouvola stop right next to Linnanmäki at the Porvoonkatu express bus stop

By Car:
Parking space in the proximity of the Linnanmäki amusement park is very limited. The parking area for cars can be found on the Alppila side, along Tivolitie Street. The parking fee is €3/hour. Accepted payment methods are coins, Credit and Debit cards, as well as the EasyPark and ParkMan services. Parking areas are subject to a charge 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Parking areas are managed by AutoParkki Norden Oy. (One-Way from 13€ - 17€)

  • Wear comfortable shoes
  • Do not pluck flowers 
  • Every customer's height is measured when entering a ride
  • Due to safety bars, tall people may not be able to enter some rides
  • If you have a cast on an arm or a leg you may not be able to access all rides

Sometimes depending on weather conditions the parks opens earlier by 11:00 a.m. or later by 4:00 p.m. therefore it is better to confirm by calling in advance or checking out their website.
