The Royal Jewelry Museum is one of the largest museums in Egypt and hosts the most valuable displays of royal ornaments of the queens and the princesses of the royal family of Egypt. The building of the museum itself is beautiful as it was the former palace of Princess Fatema El Zahraa, a rare gem of architectural wonder that was built in the 19th Century. The museum has magnificent halls and a gallery with rich colored windows decorated all over. The foyer has ten glass frames in the shape of doors with stunning drawings representing Europe's historical scenes and legendary stories. The museum has more than 11,000 displays that include the countless collections of Prince Mohamed Ali Tawfik. Bronze and gold, numerous stones and diamonds, and money bags made out of gold and other precious stones, golden clocks and watches, Turkish, Egyptian, and European insignias and coins. Among the most impressive exhibits is the stuffing box of Mohamed Ali, ornamented with diamonds and gold, his set of chess, and his sword decorated with 600 diamonds. The museum also displays King Farouk's personal walking stick made of ebony and gold. The crown of Queen Shwikar, one of the largest and most beautiful crowns of the country, is a must-see.
