About Museo Colonial

One of the noteworthy and finely adorned museums of Bogota, inaugurated on 6th August 1942, the Museo Colonial museum traces the periodical development of the portrait and religious art pieces. It also offers a fascinating overview of the colonial culture. The collections of this museum are diligently curated and beautifully exhibited. The museum reopened in 2017 after a magnificent three-year renovation. It incorporates the largest collection of artworks by the renowned colonial painter, Gregorio Vásquez de Arce, and Ceballos. The colonial arts and old paintings lovers can spend quality time here exploring the colonial belongings.

TransMilenio Bus L82, M82, G47, H83 to stop: San Victorino. The ticket price is COP 2,400 for all day. 9 minutes walk from the bus stop to Museo Colonial.

On Sunday and Public Holidays:
Local Taxi Services to stop: Museo Colonial. It is 5.7 km from the city center and will cost you $10.000 - $13.000 COP.
