About Copacabana Beach

Copacabana is one of the most amazing beaches in the world especially because it is so wide. Copacabana, in Rio de Janeiro, is a wonderful beach, along the waters of the Atlantic. Rio beaches are deservedly world class - long and clean, with blue seas and clean yellow sands, full of life and activity with lots of little stalls where you can have snacks and buy beach stuff as well as typical souvenirs. Here you can find nice restaurants too! This place is so beautiful with its vibrant, smooth golden sand. It is lively up until midnight or with the people enjoying the fishermen's boat till at about 6 am. On Sundays, the street is closed to traffic and open to pedestrians and bikers. An experience of a lifetime as you picture the big waves, beautiful girls, blazing sun and the perfect sand. One can even spend all day at the lovely beach as you can find peace and serenity with the soothing sound and lapping of the big waves.  It's iconic and worth a visit even if you are not a beach person.

Must See

  • The physical curve of white sand and blue water is perfect, the sea is gentle for the old and the children as also with more lovely bars to sit under an umbrella.
  • There is a carnival parade on Sunday evenings which is great fun to watch and a must to see while in Rio.
