The Pista Claudio Coutinho is a 2km trail located between the sea and Morro Do Urca. It is a lush green trail frequented by runners, hikers, and tourists. The trail offers stunning views of the Praia Vermelha (Red Beach). It is a fairly easy trail and takes approximately 40 minutes to cover. One can spot local flora and fauna along the trail including monkeys and several native birds. There are plenty of photo opportunities here and nature lovers will truly appreciate the place. There are several hiking trails branching out from here that range from moderate to hard, some of which require experienced guides and hiking gear. This splendid landmark has been credited the birthplace of samba and is famous for its “Roda de sambas” (“dance circles”). Surely, wouldn't be great to Stop in for one and get closer to discovering where Brazilian happiness comes from?.
