The Gates of the City of Minsk is the first unique architectural marvel that travelers see when they arrive at Minsk by train. There are two symmetrical high towers in the style of Stalin classicism, where the town’s boundaries end. The 11-story towers were built in 1933, one of the towers houses a 100-year-old clock that has a significant history. The perimeter of each tower is sequined with four sculptures. Each of these represents a worker, a farmer, an engineer, and a soldier. The towers are a major landmark of Minsk and have been printed on several postcards and stamps. The Gate of Minsk are adorned with lights and gives an enchanting view at night.
